Tap Dance

Tap dancing involves rhythmically striking the floor with your feet to produce different beats with the help of tap shoes. These shoes are equipped with small and lightweight metallic plates on the heels and toes of the shoe which are responsible for the “tap” sound produced when dancing.

Tap gets your feet moving and your heart pumping—and it is so much fun your kids will not even realize they’re exercising! Your leg muscles are the largest muscles in your body, so strengthening those legs is a fantastic metabolism booster. And tap dancing is a killer leg workout. Tap dancing is a wonderful creative outlet for kids. After learning the basic routines, tap dancers are free to find their own rhythms. It is a great way for your kids to express themselves.

Tap Classes

Tap Beginner II

This class is for third-year+, single-subject tap students. Dancers will build on the fundamental skills taught in their first year. Skills and combinations will progress in difficulty.

    • Beginner II - Thursday 5:00 - 6:00 PM

Tap Intermediate

This is an intermediate-level Tap class. Dancers will continue to build on skills previously taught. Skills and combinations will progress in difficulty. Teacher approval is required to attend this class.

     • Wednesday 5:00 - 6:00 PM

Tap Advanced I*

Teacher approval is required to attend this class. This is an advanced level of Tap. Dancers will continue to build on skills previously taught. Skills and combinations will progress in difficulty.

     • Thursday 6:30 - 7:30 PM

Tap Advanced II*

Teacher approval is required to attend this class. This is an advanced level of Tap. Dancers will continue to build on skills previously taught. Skills and combinations will progress in difficulty.
